Schwerpunkt der Sammlung bildet die französische Malerei der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Restauratoren, Naturwissenschaftler und Kunsthistoriker arbeiteten in diesem Projekt zusammen und wählten 75 repräsentative Gemälde für eine Reihenuntersuchung aus. Die Ergebnisse stehen nun über die Website zur Verfügung: Über eine Filterfunktion können einschlägige technische Angaben zu den einzelnen Gemälden recherchiert werden. Jedes Gemälde wird in einem Kurzbericht mit einer anschließenden Liste technologisch-naturwissenschaftlicher Daten sowie aussagekräftigen Abbildungen vorgestellt. Weiterführende Texte, beispielsweise zu Untersuchungsmethoden oder Konventionen, sowie ein Glossar sind über die Kopfzeile abrufbar. - [Engl.:] The Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Cologne has possessed one of the largest and most varied collections of Impressionist and Post-impressionist paintings in Germany. The focus of the collection is formed by French painting of the second half of the 19th century. Conservators, scientists and art-historians of both institutions are collaborating in this project. The focus has been on the investigation of painting materials and techniques and the recording of states of preservation as well as the restoration history of the paintings. 75 representative paintings in the collection in Cologne were selected for the investigation. A filter function in the catalogue allows particular details of the individual paintings to be accessed. Each painting is presented to you in a brief report with a list of technological and scientific data together with informative illustrations. Articles of a more specialized nature, for example on examination methods or conventions, as well as a glossary, can be accessed via the header. | |

Die Ergebnisse stehen nun über die Website zur Verfügung: Über eine Filterfunktion können einschlägige technische Angaben zu den einzelnen Gemälden recherchiert werden. Jedes Gemälde wird in einem Kurzbericht mit einer anschließenden Liste technologisch-naturwissenschaftlicher Daten sowie aussagekräftigen Abbildungen vorgestellt. Weiterführende Texte, beispielsweise zu Untersuchungsmethoden oder Konventionen, sowie ein Glossar sind über die Kopfzeile abrufbar. - [Engl.:] The Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Cologne has possessed one of the largest and most varied collections of Impressionist and Post-impressionist paintings in Germany. The focus of the collection is formed by French painting of the second half of the 19th century. Conservators, scientists and art-historians of both institutions are collaborating in this project. The focus has been on the investigation of painting materials and techniques and the recording of states of preservation as well as the restoration history of the paintings. 75 representative paintings in the collection in Cologne were selected for the investigation. A filter function in the catalogue allows particular details of the individual paintings to be accessed. Each painting is presented to you in a brief report with a list of technological and scientific data together with informative illustrations. Articles of a more specialized nature, for example on examination methods or conventions, as well as a glossary, can be accessed via the header.
