Life Span Motor Development, Sixth Edition, uses the model of constraints in
discussing reasons for changes in movement throughout the life span. Focusing
more heavily on assessment than previous editions, this edition encourages
students to observe and examine how the interactions of the individual,
environment, and task bring about changes in a person’s movements. This classic
textbook is accompanied by a web study guide with 40 lab activities and 114 new

throughout the semester. The sixth edition of Life Span Motor Development
