THIS BOOK GIVES A COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT OF RANDOM PHENOMENA AND
DISTRIBUTION RESULTS IN DIOPHANTINE APPROXIMATION, WITH A PARTICULAR
EMPHASIS ON QUADRATIC IRRATIONALS. IT COVERS CLASSICAL MATERIAL ON THE
SUBJECT AS WELL AS MANY NEW RESULTS DEVELOPED BY THE AUTHOR OVER THE
