Beschreibung:Bristol, B7723. - Included in Miscellaneous pieces, in verse, by Freeman Hearsey [1805?], Shaw 50549, with title: On the battle at the Ohio. - Shipton & Mooney, 46186. - Text in two columns; printed area measures 39.4 x 23.1 cm. - Verse in fourteen numbered stanzas; first line: Hark! while the thunders roar aloud. - With relief cuts depicting "The bloody battle, fought in Nov. 1790, by Gen. Harmar;" "Bloody Indian battle at Miami, 1791;" "The gallant and intrepid Major Butler, (brother to the unfortunate general) ..." and "Missasago, or chief warrior, who was commander of the Indian army at the late bloody and desperate battle." Ezekiel Russell, of Boston, used the cut of Major Butler in his almanacs, and the scenes of the battle at Miami in his edition of the Columbian tragedy (Evans 23268)
