Beschreibung:Bristol, B7617. - Erroneously attributed to the Rev. Samuel Webster (1718-1796) by Bristol and Shipton & Mooney, who date this [1790]. Although the drownings occurred in 1790, typographical evidence suggests that the broadside was printed well after that date. Perhaps printed at nearby Worcester, Mass. - Ford, W.C. Broadsides, 2569. - Shipton & Mooney, 46100. - The only known copy, held by the American Antiquarian Society, is a mutilated fragment, lacking lower half of sheet. Text in two columns; printed area measures 13.3+ x 15.5 cm. - The words "By Samuel Webster, Sutto[n ...]" are printed at right angles to the text, between the two columns. - Verse; first line: What solemn news is this we hear
