Exploring the complex relationship between people and the places where they live, the
third edition of Cultural Geography continues to provide a comprehensive introduction
to cultural identities and cultural landscapes. Integrating both traditional and newer
approaches to the discipline, the authors reflect on past, current, and emerging ideas and
perspectives—from Carl Sauer and the landscape school to Marxist, humanist, feminist,
and postmodern theories. With broad coverage of a diverse range of concepts and themes,
