was
Waynflete Professor of Metaphysical Philosophy
at the University of Oxford.
DAVID BOUCHER is Research Professor in
Political Theory and International Relations,
Cardiff University, and Distinguished Research
Associate, University of Johannesburg. He has
been Chairman of the Collingwood Society since
1993
and has published widely on all aspects of
Collingwood
s
thought His most recent books
are

Idealism: A Guide for the Perplexed (with Andrew
Vincent, Continuum,
2011).
Teresa smith
ís
r. g. CoiUngwooďs
daughter by his second wife, Kate Coffingwood.
Since the
1970s
she has worked closely with
Collingwood scholars, and has published on
R. G. Collingwood and his father, W. G.
Collingwood. After studying Greats and
sodai
policy at Oxford, she was appointed University
Lecturer at
Oxford,
fellow of St Hilda s College,
and head of the (then) Department of Social
Policy and Social Work
1997-2005.
Her research
covers early childhood education, educational
disadvantage, and parental involvement.
