The collected edition «The Foreign Masters at the Academy of Fine Arts» is
dedicated to 250th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. This book
has been done on the basis of the materials of the similar conference hold in April
2006
by the department of the foreign arts of the Research Institute of Theory and
History of Fine Arts of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts and related to the
anniversary of the Academy. The reports of the conference made by the special¬
ists from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg were dedicated to the historic part of the
Academy of Fine Arts in the Russian cultural life of the 18th
