comparative material from Scotland and Ireland.
The first halt of the stud identifies side-changers among peers, AIPs,
armv officers, and common soldiers,before reconstructing the chronological
and regional patterns to their detections. The second half delivers a cultural
history oftreachery, by adopting a thematic approach to explore the social
and cultural implications ot defections, and demonstrating how notions ot
