Duty to edit the newest book of the publicist, linguist and student of Masters in the history course, Ismet Jonuzi
Krosi, Albanian Golgotha IV
(1980-1990),
was spiritually and professionally welcomed, which comes and is
confidently influenced by few factors, the most important being that: first of all he keeps his promise after the
publication of Albanian Golgotha I
(1945-1
952)-2007, Albanian Golgotha -!!-!!!
(1953-1963
and
1964-1
970)-2008,
Albanian Golgotha IV-V
(1970-1974
and
1974-1980)- 2009
and secondly the appointment of editor s job for
Albanian readers of these regions it s one more surprise in the Albanian horizon of the
Fushegropa
e Polloges .
The book (monograph) Albanian
Golgotha^VI
(1980-1990)
of the author Ismet Jonuz-Krosi, which he will
publish these days on the occasion of the 31th anniversary of the Demonstrations of
1981,
it s a product of a titanic
hard work of the author who this time also offers to the Albanian historiography a serious outline and a monograph
study with a special national importance in native Albanian regions.
The source of the next publication, of the Albanian Golgotha VI, from Ismet Jonuzi-Krosi, deals with the period
from
1980-1990,
with the portraits of most direct actors, those who gave their mark during all those years.
Year
1981,
it s another stage of the terror of repression of Slavic-Macedonian state officials against the
Albanian population in Macedonia. While following the course of Serbian chauvinistic politic after the democratic
demonstrations of the Spring of
1981 (11, 25
March and
1-3
April) in Kosovo, these Slavic-Macedonian state
officials undertook a fascistic offensive against the Albanian population in Macedonia. Beside arrests and abuse
from the police of those who allegedly took part in Kosovo demonstrations, almost all those intellectuals who had
visited the Republic of Albania with Yugoslav passports on legal ways were ill-treated by the police. Most of them not
only were they expelled from their working places, but also imprisoned and sentenced with many years which they
served in Serbian prisons.
The same happened with Demonstrations of
1981
and even later when the best sons and daughters of
Albanian nation here in Macedonia (most of them are included by the author in the Albanian Golgotha -^) and in
the Tito s Ex-Yugoslavia they were labeled with sick and imagined nicknames of Yugoslav Slavic-Macedonian such
as: nationalists, irredentists, separatist, etc. It was enough to label them in order to fire them, arrest them, to expel
them from their houses, men who were personification of the Albanian resistance and intelligence in Albanian
eastern regions, some of them being liquidated by the killing hand of Yugoslav UDB (Secret Service)
(
brother Jusuf
and Bardhosh
Gërvalla,
Kadri Zeka,
Enver Hadri and many others). This Golgotha for Albanians of eastern regions,
Kosovo and other Albanian ethnical regions continued all through
80s
of the XX Century.
During
90s
of the XX Century when the spirit of democracy was on the air, when single party system started
being replaced by multiparty systems, speculations began as well as new intrigues to keep Albanians under
occupation as they were before.
Without stopping on the essential substance of the Albanian GolgothaM/l, which consists of portraits from
activists of those years, I m going to make a summary of some special thoughts with scientific value which are noted
at the beginning of this publication. This is also the reason and we don t want to decrease the curiosity of serious
readers because it s not my purpose to do so, but I will present a brief and concise review which the author sets in
the book.
About the Albanian
Golgotha^VI,
we can absolutely say that it s not only a book with portraits from activists
who personally served in the prisons of Tito s ex-Yugoslav federation in these stormy years. The book can be called
a live file of Albanians in Macedonia, who during
LANC
sacrifice their lives for national cause and were never
rewarded. The book can also be called a historical fact collection related to the Albanian issue in their ethnical
regions of ex-Yugoslavia, and still we can say that we will not make a mistake, you can call it a national pain, which
is being repeated when it hurts the most, you can call it a political history paved through portraits of activists in those
years in Albanian eastern regions and still not be wrong.
Surely, it would be more convincing to say that this publication as the Albanian Golgotha -!
(2007),
ll-lll
(2008)
and IV-V
(2009),
is also a serious remark about the Albanian historiography, especially of those who deal with
Albanian rights and freedoms and how the historical right is documented in those places in which Albanians are
treated as minority. About these problems, how the Slavic-Macedonian state acted toward Albanian population in
80 s of the XX Century, the author Ismet Jonuzi-Krosi brings many proofs and evidences with an Important interest
in this next publication.
The publication of Albanian Golgotha VI of Ismet Jonuzi-Krosi, who by serious readers is evaluated for his
clarity in drafting portraits of national activists and of national political organizations of those years
(
80 s) has the
power of arguments. With this work he offers us and extraordinary contribution of the Albanian historiography which
should be in the function of the Albanian national historical knowledge and used as a manual for further studies of
Albanians in eastern regions during those years that were the years of suffering .
Relying on this conclusion, this work Albanian Golgotha VI can t set any irresponsible comments, because it
fades away the value of the purpose which the author attempts to aim, while on the other side the study looses
reader s interest. Therefore the monograph should be read as an integral text in order to have complete information
about the genocide conducted by Slavic-communist Macedonian state bodies here in the Republic of Macedonia
during 80 s against Albanian activists who were defending their national rights:
Shpëtim Pollozhani,
Brothers
Gërvalla,
Rafi
Halili,
Bardhyl Mahmuti, Kastriot Haxhirexha, Bejtulla Ademi, Xhevat Ademi etc.
The author Ismet Jonuzi-Krosi, through portraits of activists and events of those years, counts all problems of
that system and sets them in paper: A special attention was given in ruining the Albanian elementary and secondary
education; Macedonian government officials forced Albanians to keep records of their pupils in the school books
only in Macedonian, and other measures. They went that far that they outlawed Albanians having more than two
children. While another measure from the project of
Vasa Çubrilloviq
was breaking down of school yards and house
yards walls especially in Kumanovo and in villages of
Struga,
Tetovo etc. and creation of mixed secondary schools
where Albanian students learned in Slavic-Macedonian language.
The style language used by the author Albanian Golgotha VI, this time too is another characteristic. The work
was written fluently with a clear language while emphasizing reality and a part of Golgotha lived by Albanians during
those years.
As in other publications, in which I was an editor, at the end of this editorship for publication, I say without any
doubts that the work dedicated to the Albanian Golgotha
(1980-1990),
which will be published these days, written by
linguist and publicist Ismet Jonuzi-Krosi, it s of a great value not only for those who study and will study the efforts of
a population seeking for freedom, but will also serve as a message for current generations and coming ones, to pass
the will from those generations who fought for almost a century so they could see their ethnical regions united in one
ethnical tree.
Once again I would suggest to the author who made publication of this work possible, that it would be very
valuable to translate it into one of the foreign languages as English or German, so the western world would know
about the genocide Slavic-communist state has committed upon Albanian population in Tito s Yugoslavia.
Finally, I congratulate the author for publication of the monograph which is useful and interesting and with great
value and I also wish him success with other publications in the near future, especially works which have to do with
the period after
1990.
