Argument
Anyone studying the history of the Romanian people
noticed, even the layman, the special share of military
phenomenon in the ensemble of the glorious past traditions.
From the most distant ancestors (Geto-Dacians), who lived
on these places, and until our century, Romanian land was a
large site of construction and creation, but also a field
kneaded by fierce battles, where lie the bones of generations
that were sacrificed in heroic confrontation with the waves
of foreign invaders.
The same skilled hands of the Dacians whose artistic
genius carved ornaments of gold and silver lasted from
everlasting granite eagle nests in Orastie mountains and
Olt
Valley. The same skilled hands of Romanian who rised with
refinement the
Cozia
and Voronet, Mogosoaia and
Maramureş
gates, bequeathed us
Suceava
Fortress,
Oltenia
s
cuias
and
Hunyadi
Castle.
The same hands held with bravery, dignity, nobility and high
patriotism the gun and flag into a millennial lasting, in the
Carpatho-Danubian-Pontic space, within a determined struggle
and full of sacrifices for freedom, for the inalienable right to
exist independently, for unity, facing, with fearlessness, invasion
forces superior in number and armament, of seizing and
expansionist empires and kingdoms.

Istoria steagului românesc
Historical circumstances, often harsh, forced the
inhabitants of these legendary places to interrupt peaceful
occupations to defend by weapons their ancestral hearth, the
existence of ethnicity, wealth, unity and independence.
In the fighting that our people has led against the
oppressors from outside and inside the country, the battle
flags have always accompanied the fighters, they inspired them
in rush clashes, gave them their power and strength of granite
in defense and in offensive momentum, have led them on the
way of victories.
This work aims to address and analyze how the battle
flag became a symbol of bravery, honor, military soldierly
glory, the history of its appearance and its role in battles
fought by the Romanian people for freedom, independence
and national unity, stopping at the moment of building
Greater Romania.
Love and respect for the flag were consolidated
throughout history as some of the most enduring and
uplifting feelings. The flag, people were accustomed to
seeing the flag as the symbol of all that is best in a people,
synthesis of its perennial values.
Romanian flag colors are one of its elements of strength,
they have ancient origin, something that very few people can
be proud, and their return on national banner has deep
historical significance. This expresses our lasting on hearth
where we knead as people, the standing links between
Romanians from the Dniester up the
Tisa
on both sides of
the Carpathians. They symbolize the ideals of unity and
independence of the Romanian nation ardently cherished in the
two thousand years of its history.
