Musical
correlations consists of chapters that are
presented as
integrative
-
analytical units in its mutual correlations.
Musical knowledge during various social stages has been processed
in order to provide orientation in the sphere of musical culture and
musical education. Interpretation of knowledge has been of
integrative
nature, which created a foundation for diachronic
-
synchronous
orientation of processes in the past as well as in the present. Musical
thinking in herein publication is conceived as a dynamising factor of
human transition from simple expressions to the tasks, functions
formed in current IT society.
The monograph explains evolutionary process of a man, lives
of people in ancient cultures, characteristics of the music systems
from the earliest periods up to the present. Relationships are being
tracked together with intersections, correlations within the disciplinary
cooperation, forms of cultural life, music education. Concentrated
explanation is used in interpretation of the relationship between music
and philosophy, music and politics. From the mass media and
postmodernism point of view indicators are monitored that are
obtained from analytical procedures, particularly in the field of
sociology as well as the social dissemination of cultural products.
Reconnaissance of ancient musical theory and practice in the
Arabic environment, culture and education in ancient Egypt (including
hermeticism), Greece, and the Roman Empire in Europe have been
tackled as well. Special attention is focused on the musical culture
and education in Slovakia since Slavonic times to the present. The

last chapter dealt with issues of musical postmodernism and its
transformations in the communication systems of music, as well as the
relationship of music listeners to the music-production. Changes of
periods are presented in the text not only as a result of technological
development, but also as a result of high standard of education that is
perceived as a factor in human culture, the assumption of his
education and culture. Monograph in a compact form draws the
theoretical picture of the history of music- teaching thinking. Musical
