Willingly to emphasize always our song, as I did in
my previous works,

gave a little to this work Dimen¬
sions of Folk Songs. Obviously is that this title does no
button all sides of contents of the book, considering in all
my previous works based on study questions this book is
to be continued. Therefore, the title of this book is com¬
pleted by titles of previous published books.
Experience to date about folk songs, thus in parti¬
cipate studios, I have started sides which more or less
where concern for definite problem, but and similar time
current events were propounded to Kosovo Scholars
,
as
a need to fill something missed or to notify as a newness
in study or to contacts between value of two literatures,
folk or written, as distinguish of some works somewhere
shortly and somewhere widely, in some authors works,
where do

believe they are well-known figures of Alba¬
nian folklore studies and its history.
Entire book is planned in three parts:
1,
Folk poetry
-
study form; II, Relations: Song and written work; III,
Estimations for Albanian works.
In these three chapters are included twelve works,
which I have recently written them. Part of them, earlier

were published even in science magazines Albanologic
Traces -Folklore and Ethnology, as on special publish
whereas some of them are published for the first time

Works known for the readers and scholars, and for
those that he/she will read here,

think they express
work, well-meaning and persuasion that every scholar
increase science as work results and of personal talent.
In a chapter Folk poem-study form are lined six
works with no ranking, I will mention only those sides of
its importance, believing to be revealed in them. The gre¬
atest importance is the area written about. This values are
kept and saved among people for collecting them as an
art and as irreplaceable, even this historical stage and
population, unrepeatable, because there is no possible to
create them again, except of some kinds where for sure
they will have less values and with weak artistic struc¬
ture.
Field work is the biggest effort ever done by the
collectors, facing different obstacles and other tribula¬
tions both in a bad weather, or fragile places, or from
authorized persons in the past, who every minute have
tried to stop the successful development of this work.
Because of these obstacles, is discouraging fact that part
of this culture and folk art has closed productive period
and is forgettable.
Women masking in virgins it is an important dime¬
nsion for women and charters of Valiant Epos and a sight
of the value of this sex not seen by now. In its artistic
treatment a woman in her double sex role, did a very
important mission, filling vacuum in traditional Albanian
life.

The Study Love Folk Song
-
discussion for sorting
sides to contribute in typological classification issues of
these songs. To be known, classifications until today still
are not enough strong. Thus, e.g. Songs for the sea have
in purpose to challenge starts for using various interesting
ideas, which in folk studies are not enough stabilized and
standardized in many types and literate gender. As far, it
is well-known the specific role of water (the sea) in ins¬
piration that gives in creating lyrics at us.
In this book are published three writings for three
our famous folk figures. Very short as a commemorate
writing, is for Qemal Haxhihasani, is done for comme¬
morate occasion of this well-known personality by
science stuff in Tirana. Memoirs for him, as a famous
personality, from Kosovo to Albania, is followed in the
most tragic experienced days of Kosovo during the end
of XX century.
Valuation on Pater Zef Jankajt work I do consider
as a duty for hardworking collector and a co-operator, on
a long term, in Albanologic Prishtina Institution

Fetiu. Valuated studies
and science personality of
Sadri
Fetiu have created a
specific valuable fond of new studies for the science of
our folk.
In a chapter Relations

Songs and written works
are treated as a special point of relationship between epos
of knights and novels of Rexhep Qosja. Folk culture for¬
tunately, has done artistic through in mission and definite
function, but and artistic stress on coloring in these no¬
vels as it has influenced at many great writers. But this
study side, I want to emphasize that it can extend and be

deeper the same as it would be done and with the study of
Qemail Haxhihasani.

Seeing the shortages of schools and faculties curri-
culums for learning folk literature, I wanted to anticipate
inclusion of folk as a need to develop the most completed
intellectual Albanian, that in other cases the lessons on
people s culture make it a person of native place, as this
feeling feels a lot of intellectuals and diplomats in the
world.
In the third chapter the last one, are ranged the va¬
luations for folk publishes. Here are valued works of
people s literature art gathered in
Tetova
and Gostivar
areas from Edibe Selimi and from
Isak
Kasemi,
and those
as the best of Montenegro from
Dedë Ndoc
Filipajt
.
The book is closed with promoted words for four
works with historical songs published from Prishtina Al-
banologic Institution
.
In the end of this preface I mean is worth to say
that by now I have decently worked to study our folk
song, created from people, saved and sang and supporting
on its real strength, in big patriotic role, in magic beauty
that it has, as in its safe, in the most valuated hierarchic
works even in between folk songs and other population
.
Folk song everyday is divided from its instrument
and its melodies is echoed rare. It will remain to be seen
and to be valued its rare beauty. Through this folk songs
love is saved for our ancestors and for the left inheritance
by them
.
