and deals with the po¬
litical and economic problems of post-Communist Russia.
Economy and power: the political history of economic reforms
in Russia
(1985-1994)
argues that the political and economic
problems that were generated by
perestroïka
and by the collapse of
the Soviet system were mutually reinforcing, explains the thinking
behind government decision-making and exposes the illusions and
errors of the ruling groups in the USSR and the Russian Federa¬
tion. First edition of this book dates back to
1994

ers). It was also published in London as The Political History of
Economic Reform in Russia,
1985-1994
(L.: Centre for Research
into Communist Economies,
1996).
Economic reform: the constitutional dimension is one of the
first applications of constitutional economics to the study of
modern Russia. The author examines the legal and constitutional
dimensions of Russian economic reform in the light of the ex¬
perience of developed and developing countries. First published
in Ad
