This book pleads for the concept of „National Re¬
unification of our country, Romania, which after the
important
1918
„Great Union , continued as such until
1940.
In addition to the notes from my previous books
I was honored to invite the following three important
personalities to contribute to this book: the presti¬
gious historian
Acad.
Florin
Constantinul,
the author
of the valuable book: A Sincere History of the Romanian
People at its 2nd edition now, the well known and well
appreciated literary historian Dimitrie Vatamaniuc,
Member of Honor of the Romanian Academy and
Director of „Bucovina National Institute from
Rădă¬
uţi
and the famous dialectologist and linguist
Prof.Dr.h. Vasile Pavel, from the Academy of Sci¬
ences of Moldova
(Chişinău).
The input coming from these good patriots and
great specialists is presented in Chapter IX that the
readers are invited to consider for reading it all.
Our book is also supposed to be a reply to those
Romanian intellectuals who too easily blame other
Romanians pointing out only their drawbacks and ig¬
noring their qualities.
I responded to those by reminding them about
the social upheavals when simple people from rural
areas fought against slavery for their social release and
for their national release against those that considered
them „tolerated on their own motherland.

The ideas of the Romanian state s unification as well
as that of national reunification have always benefited
from the „spiritual legacy endorsed by the Romanian
peasants.
Another aspect to be emphasized in the book
refers to the important cultural role of monasteries em¬
phasizing the Romanian people s availability and in¬
terest for a rich religious and spiritual life.
Good proof of oiir co-citizens dignity and wisdom
resides in their capacity to survive under three dictator¬
ships.
The Romanian strong moral resistance under these
dictatorships was demonstrated when Romanians be¬
came refugees, were deported, put in jail or forced to work
in extermination camps.
Our ethnical and linguistic identity as well as our re¬
ligious and cultural Romanian continuity were preserved
tntact along time due to great Romanian personalities.
Finally Chapter
VIII
has an important signifi¬
cance as it is based on information gathered from the

media. Both positive, encouraging facts are recor¬
ded as well as negative ones. Mention could be made
that though negative behaviors of some Rroma origin
Romanians abroad were used to label the Romanian
People at large, still the positive behaviors are more
numerous and relevant to our people.
It is worth mentioning that Romanian individu¬
als living abroad gained the admiration of foreigners
due to their spontaneous bravery and daily heroism when
confronted with very difficult situations.
Such Romanian everyday heroes together with
those heroes and personalities who lived in the near
or remote past motivate us to be proud and promote
our Romanian identity.

At last but not at least the book emphasizes the
nowadays importance of the moral spiritual and patri¬
otic education addressing the younger generation.
