konferencí v období protektorátu zamýšlí nad rolí tiskových konferencí
v systému řízení protektorátního tisku, se zvláštním zřetelem
к
postavení
novináře a úloze, kterou mu okupační režim přisuzoval. Příspěvek zasa¬
zuje problematiku řízení a kontroly oficiálně vycházejícího periodického
tisku v období protektorátu do obecnějšího kontextu role a postavení mé¬
dií v nedemokratických poměrech a jejich instrumentalizace mocenskou
strukturou ve svůj prospěch. Autorka si všímá způsobu organizace tisko¬
vých konferencí, jejich průběhu a jednacího jazyka.
Jiří Kraus ve své analýze Od iluze kolegiality
к
realitě diktátu na zákla¬
dě textové analýzy výběrového souboru zápisů z tiskových konferencí
dokumentuje, jak se v průběhu válečných let postupně oslabovala původ¬
ní informativní funkce porad ve prospěch jednoznačných direktiv, dopro¬
vázených vyhrožováním konkrétními sankcemi. Autor zkoumá jazykové
prostředky a argumentační postupy a soustřeďuje se na prostředky vyjad¬
řování naléhavosti a modality zápisů, na instrukce
diskurzivni
povahy
(jasnost, předcházení nesprávným interpretacím a jinotajům) a na kon¬
strukci čtenáře přítomnou v instrukcích a prozrazující obraz publika,
v němž jsou silně zastoupeni lidé váhaví i otevření nepřátelé.
Úlohu novinářské organizace v systému řízení protektorátních médií při¬
bližuje příspěvek Jana Cebeho Národní svaz novinářů
1939-1945:
čin¬
nost novinářské organizace během okupace a její reflexe v období pová¬
lečném. Ukazuje, že sjednocená novinářská organizace fungovala až do
února
1942
na demokratických principech a vůči německým úřadům se
pokoušela uplatňovat politiku pasivní rezistence. Po jmenování Vladimí¬
ra Krychtálka do role vedoucího došlo
к
reorganizaci Svazu na základě
vůdcovského principu a změnil se také postoj
к
okupační moci. Svaz se
bez odporu podřizoval požadavkům německých úřadů a sám jim často

vycházel aktivně vstříc. Stal se tak dalším prostředkem, skrze nějž moh¬
li nacisté účinně ovládat protektorátní média. V závěru se autor věnuje
tomu, jak se novinářská organizace po skončení války vyrovnala
s
pro¬
blémem kolaborace ve vlastních řadách.
Další dva příspěvky využívají ke zkoumání problematiky řízení protekto-
rátních médií metod kvalitativní a kvantitativní obsahové analýzy. Vlas¬
timil Nečas se v rámci případové studie Nastolování agendy v rámci pro-
tektorátních tiskových porad věnuje analýze protektorátních tiskových
porad a jejich vztahu
к
dobovým mediálním obsahům. Autor se na vy¬
braných událostech pokouší srovnávat tiskové pokyny
s
výslednými me¬
diálními texty, které na jejich základě vznikaly. Dílčím cílem textu je pak
metodologický exkurz do možností komparativní analýzy historických
dokumentů.
Studie Jakuba Končelíka nazvaná Kvantitativní obsahová analýza pro¬
tektorátních tiskových porad nabízí výsledky kvantitativního zpracování
vybraného vzorku zápisů z tiskových porad. Během těchto porad vyhod¬
nocovali zástupci tiskového odboru rady ministrů a tiskového odboru
a kulturního a politického odboru říšského protektora jednání médií
v předcházejícím období a zástupcům tisku dávali instrukce týkající se
obsahu a způsobu zpracování. Provedená analýza popisuje formální
struktura porad a nabízí analýzu proměn četnosti promluv účastníků po¬
rad a tematický,
resp.
obsahový vývoj, které prodělaly instrukce předáva¬
né zástupcům protektorátního tisku, včetně tematické analýzy kritických
připomínek
к
obsahu tisku.
Závěr kolektivní monografie tvoří příspěvek Alexandry Blodigové Me¬
todologie projektu Český tisk v době Protektorátu Čechy a Morava
(1939-1945),
který se věnuje popisu archivních fondů, jež byly pro úče¬
ly publikace využity.

SUMMARY
In her introductory essay, Barbara
Köpplová
considers the role of press
conferences in the system of controlling the Protectorate press, with spe¬
cial attention paid to the position of journalists and the role they were gi¬
ven by the occupation regime.
In his essay From the Illusion of Collegiality to the Reality of the Dictate,
Jiří
Kraus
uses the textual analysis of a selective file of transcripts from
the conferences of Protectorate press editors to document how during the
course of the war years the original informative function of these confe¬
rences gradually weakened in favour of unambiguous directives accom¬
panied by the threats of specific sanctions. In studying the language re¬
sources and the argumentation methods, the essay focuses on the changes
in the use of urgency and the modality of the transcripts, on emphasizing
the necessity of expressing oneself clearly to avoid the danger of incorrect
interpretation and having things read into what one says. Reporters of the
conferences are concerned with the anticipated effects of conveyed infor¬
mation and construct an image of a readership with large numbers of
hesitant people and even outright enemies.
In his essay, The National Union of Journalists,
1939-1945:
the Activities
of the Journalism Organization during the Occupation and its Reflections
in the Pre-war Period,
Jan Cebe
attempts to explain the mission of the
journalism organization in the system of controlling Protectorate media. He
shows that the unified journalism organization worked on democratic prin¬
ciples up until February
1942
and attempted to apply a policy of passive re¬
sistance toward German authorities. After
Vladimír Krychtálek
was named
head, there was a reorganization of the union on the basis of the leader prin¬
cipal, and the union also changed its position toward the occupation po¬
wers. From this moment the union subordinated itself without resistance to
the demands of German authorities and frequently even accommodated

them on an active basis. As such, the union became yet another means by
which the Nazis could effectively influence the Protectorate media. In the
conclusion of the essay the author then addresses how the journalism orga¬
nization came to terms with the problem of collaboration in its own ranks.
The next two essays utilize the methods of qualitative and quantitative con¬
tent analysis to research the issue of the control of Protectorate media. In his
case study entitled Establishing an Agenda in the Framework of Protecto¬
rate Press Conference,
Vlastimil Nečas
analyzes protectorate press confe¬
rences and their relationship to period media content. Using selected events,
the author attempts to compare press instructions with the resulting media
texts created on their basis. Another goal of the text is a methodological ex¬
cursion into the possibilities of comparing similar historical documents.
Jakub Končelík
performed a quantitative analysis of Protectorate press
conferences. His study is entitled A Quantitative Content Analysis of Pro¬
tectorate Press Conferences. Study deals with the issue of press regulation
in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia from
1939-1945.
It provides
a brief introduction of the mechanisms influencing the contents and formal
aspects of the press communication to match the interests and needs of the
occupying forces. The main part of the text presents the results of a quantity
analysis of minutes from press conferences, regularly organized for
journalists by the Press Department of the Council of Ministers. During
these conferences, members of the Press Department and the Cultural and
Political Department of the Reich Protector evaluated the achievements of
the media during the previous period and gave instructions to the
representatives of periodicals about the content and style of their writing.
These meetings thus represented one of the most important regulatory
instruments of the
protectoral
press. The analysis presents their formal
structure and demonstrates, using the examples of specific speeches that
the efforts to influence media communication flows did not have solely
a repressive nature but also a clearly manipulative dimension.
The final text in the collective monography is the essay by Alexandra Blo-
digová
entitled The Methodology of the Project Czech Press during the
Pmtectorate of Bohemia and Moravia
(1939-1945).

archive materials that were used for the purposes of the publication.
