gives a panoramic view of the mission, vision, growth and
development of the University of Maiduguri from its inception in
1975
to
2001;
as well as its future challenges and prospects.
Although twenty-five or so years in the life of a university is a
relatively short time, the University of Maiduguri has considered it
necessary to publish this book to enable the stakeholders,
management, staff, students and the general public to take stock of
the development and performance of this University during this
period.
The book comprises historical notes, reports, reminiscences and
write-ups by a crop of seasoned academics, professionals and
administrators who have been part of the history of this great
citadel of learning. It also contains the list of the University s
graduandsuptolí^/lí^
session.
