Trotz des Interesses und der Bedeutung erfolgte eine Erforschung
der Heidelberger Theologie- und Prädestinationslehre in der Periode
von 1583 bis 1622 bis zum 20. Jahrhundert nur in geringem Maße.
Nam Kyu
Lee untersucht zunächst die Heidelberger Theologische
Fakultät als solche.
Dabei geht er der Frage nach, inwieweit die Lehre von der Prä¬
destination in den Vorlesungen behandelt wurde. Zusätzlich wird
der Versuch unternommen, den Verlauf der Vorlesungen während
dieses Zeitraums (1583-1622) zu rekonstruieren.
Im zweiten Teil wird die Prädestinationslehre inhaltlich durch
die Schriften der Heidelberger Theologen dieser Periode behandelt.
Dabei wurden vier Theologen ausgewählt: Georg Sohn (1551-1589),
Herman Rennecherus
(1550-?), Jakob Kimedoncius (1554-1596)
und Daniel Tossanus (1541-1602).
