Mycorrhizal
Symbiosis, Third Edition provides a comprehensive account
of the most significant and widespread plant-fungus
symbioses
in terrestrial
ecosystems
-
mycorrhizas. These beneficial associations between fungi and
roots play critical roles in the uptake of nutrients from soil, allowing plants
to access a wide variety of chemical forms and influencing their competitive
interactions. Plant scientists in all disciplines from molecular biology to
