HANDBOOK OF
NEURO-ONCOLOGY
NEUROIMAGING
EDITED BY

James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, Columbus, Ohio, USA
Ferenc

Although the field of Neuro-Oncology has grown considerably in the last
10
to
15
years and
has a rather extensive literature, there are no comprehensive, single-source books that
summarize the current literature and future trends of neuroimaging in neuro-oncology. The
Handbook of Neuro-Oncology Neuroimaging is designed to be the most
comprehensive and up-to-date resource for the imaging of brain tumors and related neuro-
oncological problems. The editors and contributing authors of the book are internationally
renowned physicians in the fields of Neuroradiology Neuro-Oncology, Neurosurgery and
Radiology. Well-founded in basic science, chapters comprehensively cover every aspect of
Neuro-Oncology Neuroimaging, with numerous CT,
MRI,
and PET images, many of which
are reproduced in full color. Wherever possible, the emphasis is on practical, clinically-
oriented information that can be used to assist the reader in the care of patients with a wide
variety of neuro-oncological problems.
KEY FEATURES
•
Correlates clinical and pathological findings with imaging information
•
Emphasizes the role of various imaging techniques in differential diagnosis
.
Describes the state-of-the-art techniques in neuroimaging of brain tumors
