The Problem of State Ownership of Lands Belonging
to the Great Lithuanian Kingdom in the Nationalistic
Political Thought
Summary
This monograph comprises an introduction, three parts divided into chapters
and sub-chapters, a conclusion, and an afterward. The introduction explains that the
analysis begins from the year

political thought, R. Dmowski, expressing his patriotism, raised the nation to the
level of an absolute. The analysis ends on the year

of the National Structure of the former Great Kingdom of Lithuania , and the third
Territorial Aspirations, and State Boundaries in the Nationalistic

proponents of an integrated nationalism, the issues facing other nationalities on
Polish territories were of no significance. In their point of view, a nation was a his¬
torically created entity shaped by experiences within a single state. This idea became
a major contribution to that school of thought. Keeping with this notion, the
became an opponent of the national aspirations of other nationalities within the ter¬
ritories. Its leaders assumed that belonging to Lithuanian, Belarasian or Russian
PoHsh ethnicity would generate a harmonious relationship between them, and a sense
of being Polish based on the overriding significance of Polish nationality.

between Orthodox and Catholic religions. During the period of the formation
of Polish state, Polish nationalists were convinced that Belarus was to be simply

of this aspiration.
