ZUSAMMENFASUNG
Um die sud-östliche Grenze des Habsburgischen Kaiserreichs zu
beschützen, wurden 17 Grenzregimente errichtet, die sich
gebietsmässig von der
Adria
bis ins Rodnei Gebirge ausbreiteten.
Die Bevölkerung, die diese Grenzregimente ausmachte, war
verschiedener Nationalitäten, Sprachen und Religionen.
Das Habsburgische Kaiserhaus war sich bewusst,
dass
sie das
Vertrauen und die Unterordnung der Grenzsoldaten gewinnen konnten,
achtete es nur die Eigentümlichkeiten, die die Bevölkerung in diesen
Gebieten kennzeichneten.
So kam es,
dass
in den Grenzregimenten die Bräuche, Trachten,
Sprache und der Glaube der militarisierten Bevölkerung geachtet
wurden.
Im vorliegenden Buch werden, anhand von Unterlagen aus den
Wiener Archiven, die Tätigkeiten der orthodoxen Rumänen im
rumänischen Banater Grenzregiment Nr. 13, mit dem Sitz in
Karansebesch, zur Erhaltung ihres geerbten Glaubens, beschrieben.
Jedes Kapitel dieses Buches hat kennzeichnende Merkmale, aber
alle zusammen bilden ein Ganzes und dieses Ganze bezieht sich auf
den Bemühungen der Banater Grenzsoldaten, ihre Sprache und ihren
Glauben unverändert beizubehalten.
Die Unterlagen aus Wien, sorgfältig ausgelegt und hier in jedem
Kapitel beschrieben, unterstreichen die Fürsorge der^Hofkammer und
des Hofkriegsrates aus Wien zur Erhaltung und Entwicklung des
orthodoxen Glaubens bei den Rumänen im Karansebescher
Grenzregiment, wie auch die Bemühung der Banater Grenzsoldaten
ihren Glauben, den sie als ihr Gut empfanden, zu erhalten.

To defend the South-Eastern borders of the
Habsburg
Empire,
17
frontier guard regiments were established and were territorially spread
from the Adriatic See to the Rodnei Mountains.
The people who inhabited these frontier guard regiments were of
different nationalities, spoke different languages and had different
religious beliefs.
The House of
Habsburg
was aware that by respecting these
characteristics of the population in those regions, they could win the
trust and allegiance of the frontier guards.
So it comes that in the frontier guard regiments the habits, garbs,
language and belief of the militarised population were honoured.
In the present book, based on documents from the Vienna archives,
we described the actions of the Orthodox Romanians in the Romanian-
Banat Frontier Guard Regiment No.
13,
seated in
Caransebeş,
towards
preserving their inherited faith.
Every chapter of the book has a unique specific, but all together
form a whole and this whole relates about the hardships of the
Banat
frontier guards to keep their language and faith unaltered.
The Vienna documents, meticulously examined and described in
every chapter, point out the care of the Court Chamber and the Court
War Council in Vienna in keeping and promoting the Orthodox faith for
the Romanians in the
Caransebeş
Frontier Guard Regiment, as well as
the effort of the
Banat
frontier gaurds to maintain their religion, which
they considered one of their possessions.

hongrois, on a crée

régiments de frontière qui se prolongaient de la
Mer Adriatique jusqu aux Montagnes de
Rodna.
La population qui formait ces régiments de frontière était de
nationalités, langue, et fois, religieuses différentes.
La Maison de Habsbourg a été consciente,

particularités qui caractérisaient la population dans les endroits
respectifs [de pouvoir gagner la confiance et la soumission des soldats

la garde de frontière]
Ainsi, les coutumes, les habits, la langue et la foi de la population
militarisée ont été respectés dans les régiments de frontière.
Dans ce livre les activités des roumains orthodoxes dans le
Régiment de frontière Nr.
13,
avec le siège en
Caransebeş
sont décrites,
sur la fois des documents dans les archives viennois, pour la
conservation de leur foi héritée.
Chaque chapitre du livre a son spécifique, mais tous ensemble
forment le tout entier et ceci se rapporte aux efforts des soldats, habitants
de
Banat,
á
la garde de frontière pour conserver leur langue et leur foi.
Les documents viennois analysés avec méticulosité et décrits
dans chaque chapitre relèvent les mérites de la Chambre et du Conseil
Aulic
de la Guerre en Vienne pour la conservation et le développement
de la foi orthodoxe des roumains dans le régiment de
Caransebeş.
Les
documents viennois relèvent aussi les efforts des soldais de
Banat

la frontière de conserver la fois qu ils considéraient leur bien.
