Were the pledges on economic, political, and social advances made to the people of Sarawak honoured when Britain annexed the state or were they mere vapid political statements And what was the effect of these changes on the various ethnic groups? This book attempts to provide some answers to these fundamental questions often raised in connection with this period of unparalleled change in Sarawak's history |
