The story of Michael Lockman, who typifies the average child with TS, is woven into the factual text which contains information on symptomatology, diagnosis, natural history, biochemistry, genetics, associated disorders, treatment and related topics The authors have purposely chosen to portray a relatively mild case of TS since the majority of cases are mild, yet the more severe symptoms of TS are also introduced in the course of the story.
