Importance
The logo on the cover of this book is composed of two parts, a
female/male image and a Hebrew word The female/male image is a drawing
derived from a stone sculpture found in Nippur Nippur, a city about 100 miles
south of present day Baghdad in Iraq, was Sumer's religious and cultural center
from the early third millennium BCE until the days of Hammurabi This
sculpture, then, likely predated biblical writings It is now at the Oriental Institute,
University of Chicago
The Hebrew word is the dual form of the word double It is used in Job
11:6 MT in a verse about the secrets of Wisdom that [are] double |
