We will first describe the current version of the system in some detail, as it has evolved considerably since the first publication about it. We will emphasize those aspects of the system that we consider novel, interesting, and not present in many other systems of its type. Then we will look at the measured performance of Amoeba and compare it to the performance of other systems. Finally we will specifically discuss a number of the critical design choices we have made, and point out those we consider successful and those we consider unsucessful." |
