Zusammenfassung: | Abstract: "Within the wide spectrum of non-interleaving semantics for process algebras one can distinguish two groups; one which equates two processes if -- apart from other behavioural properties -- they have the same causal structure or, if in the other group, they have the same distribution in space. Causality based equivalences and location based equivalences are incomparable. To give a better understanding of the underlying concepts we introduce a new transition system based on local and global causes. On this transition system we define bisimulation equivalence parameterized by a function f which evaluates the information on local and global causes provided by the transitions Choosing appropriate instantiations for f we are able to characterize location equivalence ([BCHK91b]) and causal bisimulations ([DD89]). These results do not only yield a general framework for the two different approaches but also a better understanding of the underlying techniques. |
