Spatio-temporal dynamics of semiconductor lasers:
The spatio-temporal dynamics of multi-stripe and broad-area semiconductor laser arrays are studied theoretically. A hierarchy of microscopic and phenomenological model equations, which describe the interaction between the optical field and the active semiconductor medium, are formulated.
