Effective strategic procedures for individual interveners and policymakers are presented. A subsequent chapter on suicide intervention presents information on the theory and processes of suicide prevention and intervention, the incidence of suicide, and causal factors. Assessment and intervention approaches are described. Chapters on how to reduce stress and avoid professional burn out and on techniques for teaching crisis intervention conclude the book. |
