This continuing evolutionary environment can impact technology decisions as the units can hBenefits and Risks of Stakeholder Involvement. There can be many challenges associated with involving stakeholders throughout an IT project. However, key stakeholders need to be a part of the entire project process beginning with the initiation phase and Benefits. A common practice with IT projects is for IT personnel to make an introductory presentation or develop a formal project charter for approval. The next occasion for user involvement is often the final presentation and formal final documentation. Risks. Several risks can occur when stakeholders are involved throughout an IT project. Some of the critical risks are described in this section.
