Zusammenfassung: | Since teaching is a practical activity, efficient problem-solving skill is one of the fundamental competencies teachers need to possess. All teachers face challenging school situations during teaching-learning process no matter where they teach or since when. Despite similarities appearing on the surface, every school situation is unique and depends on several internal and external factors that should have been taken into account. Therefore, in many problematic cases it is not enough to deal with the symptoms, but teachers need to go deeper. This book provides a theoretical and practical background for this step-by-step problem solving-oriented thinking process. The practical activities can help teachers to frame and identify their challenges, to analyse the cause and effect of their situation, and also to find their own solutions and strategies. The material in this book can be used in pre-service or in-service teacher training that deal with pedagogic cases, or challenges of teaching and learning processes. However, most of the tools can also be used individually by teachers at any stage of their career, including any type of compulsory education, thanks to the clear description of each technique. |

The practical activities can help teachers to frame and identify their challenges, to analyse the cause and effect of their situation, and also to find their own solutions and strategies. The material in this book can be used in pre-service or in-service teacher training that deal with pedagogic cases, or challenges of teaching and learning processes. However, most of the tools can also be used individually by teachers at any stage of their career, including any type of compulsory education, thanks to the clear description of each technique.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="504" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Includes bibliographical references.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="588" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Online resource, title from PDF title page (Springer, viewed May 24, 2018).</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Teachers</subfield><subfield code="x">In-service training.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85132968</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Teachers</subfield><subfield code="x">Training of.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85132999</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Problem solving.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85107109</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Problem Solving</subfield><subfield code="0">https://id.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/D011340</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Enseignants</subfield><subfield code="x">Formation en cours d'emploi.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Enseignants</subfield><subfield code="x">Formation.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Résolution de problème.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">EDUCATION</subfield><subfield code="x">Essays.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">EDUCATION</subfield><subfield code="x">Organizations & Institutions.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">EDUCATION</subfield><subfield code="x">Reference.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Teachers</subfield><subfield code="x">In-service training</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Teachers</subfield><subfield code="x">Training of</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Problem solving</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="758" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="i">has work:</subfield><subfield code="a">Teachers' Professional Development on Problem Solving (Work)</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PCY6dPwt74XHJXCpQqHxmRq</subfield><subfield code="4">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/ontology/hasWork</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="a">Orgovanyi-Gajdos, Judit.</subfield><subfield code="t">Teachers' professional development on problem solving.</subfield><subfield code="d">Rotterdam : Sense Publishers, [2016]</subfield><subfield code="z">9789463007092</subfield><subfield code="w">(OCoLC)959910383</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=1880285</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Askews and Holts Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">ASKH</subfield><subfield code="n">AH32384198</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBL - Ebook Library</subfield><subfield code="b">EBLB</subfield><subfield code="n">EBL4738179</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">1880285</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">13239511</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="049" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DE-863</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |

Since teaching is a practical activity, efficient problem-solving skill is one of the fundamental competencies teachers need to possess.
