Zusammenfassung: | Climate change has become one of the most important and challenging global policy fields. Attention has primarily focused on the successes and failures of states and intergovernmental organisations but many more actors are involved and contribute solutions. The contributions to this book assess the different potentials of existing schemes. They scrutinise how very different programs at national and international levels seek to marry complex public and private goals in and across industries addressing wide groups of firms. Lessons from these programs can help design and improve programs but they also show different types of pitfalls. Lessons learned are relevant not only for climate policy, but for the many other policy fields where private voluntary programs are active. |

They scrutinise how very different programs at national and international levels seek to marry complex public and private goals in and across industries addressing wide groups of firms. Lessons from these programs can help design and improve programs but they also show different types of pitfalls. Lessons learned are relevant not only for climate policy, but for the many other policy fields where private voluntary programs are active.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="588" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Print version record.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Business enterprises</subfield><subfield code="x">Environmental aspects.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Environmental policy.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85044197</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Climatic changes.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Voluntarism.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85144334</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Entreprises</subfield><subfield code="x">Aspect de l'environnement.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Environnement</subfield><subfield code="x">Politique gouvernementale.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Climat</subfield><subfield code="x">Changements.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">environmental policy.</subfield><subfield code="2">aat</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">climate change.</subfield><subfield code="2">aat</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING</subfield><subfield code="x">Environmental</subfield><subfield code="x">Pollution Control.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Business enterprises</subfield><subfield code="x">Environmental aspects</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Climatic changes</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Environmental policy</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Voluntarism</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Ronit, Karsten.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="758" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="i">has work:</subfield><subfield code="a">Business and climate policy (Text)</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PCGq8yVx4Ybmt8FH4JmCM6C</subfield><subfield code="4">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/ontology/hasWork</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="t">Business and climate policy.</subfield><subfield code="d">New York, NY : United Nations University Press, ©2012</subfield><subfield code="z">9789280812145</subfield><subfield code="w">(DLC) 2012008153</subfield><subfield code="w">(OCoLC)781939339</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=464880</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="l">CBO01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=464880</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">464880</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Internet Archive</subfield><subfield code="b">INAR</subfield><subfield code="n">businessclimatep0000unse</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">9449543</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |

Climate change has become one of the most important and challenging global policy fields. Print version record.
