Zusammenfassung: | Publisher Description (unedited publisher data) Counter Bioremediation is an expanding area of environmental biotechnology, and may be defined as the application of biological processes to the treatment of pollution. Much bioremediation work has concentrated on organic pollutants, although the range of substances that can be transformed or detoxified by microorganisms includes both natural and synthetic organic materials and inorganic pollutants, such as toxic metals. The majority of applications developed to date involve bacteria and there is a distinct lack of appreciation of the potential roles and involvement of fungi in bioremediation, despite clear evidence of their metabolic and morphological versatility. This book highlights the potential of filamentous fungi, including mycorrhizas, in bioremediation and discusses the physiology and chemistry of pollutant transformations. |

This book highlights the potential of filamentous fungi, including mycorrhizas, in bioremediation and discusses the physiology and chemistry of pollutant transformations.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Fungal remediation.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2001001783</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Champignons en biorestauration.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING</subfield><subfield code="x">Environmental</subfield><subfield code="x">Pollution Control.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Fungal remediation</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Gadd, Geoffrey M.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n87874761</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="758" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="i">has work:</subfield><subfield code="a">Fungi in bioremediation (Text)</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PCFV8mVP6VkJTc9FFJXYXkC</subfield><subfield code="4">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/ontology/hasWork</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="t">Fungi in bioremediation.</subfield><subfield code="d">Cambridge ; New York : Published for the British Mycological Society [by] Cambridge University Press, 2001</subfield><subfield code="z">0521781191</subfield><subfield code="z">9780521781190</subfield><subfield code="w">(DLC) 2001025609</subfield><subfield code="w">(OCoLC)46641798</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="830" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">British Mycological Society symposium series ;</subfield><subfield code="v">23.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n42033086</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=230765</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="l">CBO01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=230765</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Askews and Holts Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">ASKH</subfield><subfield code="n">AH13422757</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ebrary</subfield><subfield code="b">EBRY</subfield><subfield code="n">ebr10235087</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">230765</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">2840622</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">2855066</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">2866487</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">3275763</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |

Publisher Description (unedited publisher data) Counter Bioremediation is an expanding area of environmental biotechnology, and may be defined as the application of biological processes to the treatment of pollution.
