It was renovated in 1305 (1887-88) by the order of Abdulhamid, and today's masjid-tevhidhane section was built in 1900 by Astankul Bey, one of the leading statesmen of the Bukhara Khanate. After the closure of the lodges in 1925, the Lodge incorporated institutions such as the Turkestan Youth Union, the Turkestan Culture and Social Aid Association, and the Turkestan Students Student Dormitory, and the last sheikh Abdurrahman Efendi (d. 1953) continued to reside in the harem with his family. Later, the harem section burned down, and the masjid-tevhidhane, which remained dysfunctional and neglected, was also destroyed in another fire
