Zusammenfassung: | This first Brazilian edition of "Infarto del Alma", an unavoidable book in the career of Paz Errázuriz, in partnership with her compatriot, the writer Diamela Eltit, and published by Instituo Moreira Salles on the occasion of the Chilean Photography Retrospective, on display at the IMS Paulista from March to July of 2020. The portraits that Errazuriz made are of lovers who were became couples inside the psychiatric hospital Philippe Pinel, in the small town of Putaendo, Chile, are the result, as in all her photographic series, of years of investment in a relationship with those portrayed. After producing some of the images, Errazuriz invited Diamela Eltit to visit the hospital, who wrote a diary of her experience there. |
