CHAPTERS CHAPTER4 FIGURES IN THE ROUND: CARVING FIGURES IN THE ROUND: CONSTRUCTING Students look at some sculptural processes; they Students look at constructed sculptural works - both discuss a number of figurative artists who carve in contemporary artworks and traditional doll-figures. Students themselves identify and discuss the materials and forms, and consider explore carving: they carve a soap sculpture that is the use of interesting or unexpected combinations.
