Zusammenfassung: | "This substantial essay depicts urban collapse in an exceptionally difficult period of the Serbian capital. The author has marshalled facts, reflections, photographs and other images to demonstrate the transformation of Belgrade during the Miloševic years. With the theoretical grounding of cultural anthropology, history studies, culture of memory, history of art, and urbanism, Mileta Prodanovic considers changes to the built environment and urban landscape in the city in the 1990s. He covers many visual aspects of life with great ingenuity: shopping centers, unregulated construction and "wild" modifications of buildings, new buildings (broadcasting studios, shops, homes) that do not fit the surroundings, bad taste in home furnishings (camp, kitsch), boondoggles such as the international art center, problematic historical markers like the obelisk of the eternal flame, billboards, store displays, electoral propaganda, graffiti, grave-markers and cemetery memorials, coins and paper money, calendars, beer labels, and even religious icons (and more). All this information is provided with some critique and much implied comparison to past standards"-- |

All this information is provided with some critique and much implied comparison to past standards"--</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="546" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Aus dem Serbo-Kroatischen übersetzt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="648" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Geschichte 1989-1999</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Städtebau</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4056795-3</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Belgrad</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4005411-1</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Material culture / Serbia / Belgrade / History</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Belgrade (Serbia) / History / 20th century</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Belgrade (Serbia) / Buildings, structures, etc / History</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Serbia / Politics and government / 1992-2006</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Serbie / Politique et gouvernement / 1992-2006</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">POLITICAL SCIENCE / Political Ideologies / Communism, Post-Communism & Socialism</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">SOCIAL SCIENCE / Anthropology / Cultural & Social</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Buildings</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Material culture</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Politics and government</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Serbia</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Serbia / Belgrade</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">1900-2006</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">History</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="655" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4143413-4</subfield><subfield code="a">Aufsatzsammlung</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd-content</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Belgrad</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4005411-1</subfield><subfield code="D">g</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Städtebau</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4056795-3</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Geschichte 1989-1999</subfield><subfield code="A">z</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="5">DE-604</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Milojković, Maria</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)1305551672</subfield><subfield code="4">trl</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Dragićević Šešić, Milena</subfield><subfield code="d">1954-</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)1083825941</subfield><subfield code="4">wpr</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Online version</subfield><subfield code="a">Prodanović, Mileta, 1959-</subfield><subfield code="t">Older and more beautiful Belgrade</subfield><subfield code="d">Budapest ; The author has marshalled facts, reflections, photographs and other images to demonstrate the transformation of Belgrade during the Miloševic years. All this information is provided with some critique and much implied comparison to past standards"-- Aus dem Serbo-Kroatischen übersetzt Geschichte 1989-1999 gnd rswk-swf Städtebau (DE-588)4056795-3 gnd rswk-swf Belgrad (DE-588)4005411-1 gnd rswk-swf Material culture / Serbia / Belgrade / History Belgrade (Serbia) / History / 20th century Belgrade (Serbia) / Buildings, structures, etc / History Serbia / Politics and government / 1992-2006 Serbie / Politique et gouvernement / 1992-2006 POLITICAL SCIENCE / Political Ideologies / Communism, Post-Communism & Socialism SOCIAL SCIENCE / Anthropology / Cultural & Social Buildings Material culture Politics and government Serbia Serbia / Belgrade 1900-2006 History (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Belgrad (DE-588)4005411-1 g Städtebau (DE-588)4056795-3 s Geschichte 1989-1999 z DE-604 Milojković, Maria (DE-588)1305551672 trl Dragićević Šešić, Milena 1954- (DE-588)1083825941 wpr Online version Prodanović, Mileta, 1959- Older and more beautiful Belgrade Budapest ; New York : Central European University Press, [2023] 9789633866313 Digitalisierung BSB München - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=034731908&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis Digitalisierung BSB München - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=034731908&sequence=000003&line_number=0002&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Register // Personenregister |
