Item Description:"The Massachusetts song of liberty"--p. [28]. With music

Attributed to Benjamin West. Cf. Nichols, C.L. "Notes on the almanacs of Massachusetts." Proceedings of the American Antiquarian Society, n.s. v. 22 (1912): 34-35, and the Dictionary of American biography. The notes on the calendar pages correspond for the most part to those in West's New-England almanack, or Lady's and gentleman's diary, for 1770 (Providence), though omitting the conjunctions of the planets. The calculations for the moon's place, rising, and setting, are identical, though the others vary, being for Boston rather than Providence
