Zusammenfassung: | "Stockyard Institute is an ongoing civic, artistic, and social practice founded in 1995 by Jim Duignan in the Back of the Yards community on the South Side of Chicago. Duignan was influenced early by local activists, community artists, revolutionaries, artist collectives, and radical teachers, shaping a practice of long-term relationship building in Chicago. Stockyard Institute's projects through radio stations, curriculum, objects, publications, residencies, diagrams, public art, and ideas are designed and built reciprocally alongside poets, educators, artists, writers, activists, architects, teachers, performers, and the neighbors and agencies who live and work in the communities where the efforts provide a significant context and meaning. Stockyard Institute continues to develop widespread partnerships, studio and pedagogical works, and outdoor gardens and ecological systems across communities, while giving support to groups and always pursuing the questions raised by a collaborative, lived practice."-- Provided by publisher |

S. Harper, PhD, September 9, 2021 - February 13, 2022. The exhibition is slated to travel to the Union for Contemporary Art in Omaha, Neb." "Stockyard Institute is an ongoing civic, artistic, and social practice founded in 1995 by Jim Duignan in the Back of the Yards community on the South Side of Chicago. Stockyard Institute continues to develop widespread partnerships, studio and pedagogical works, and outdoor gardens and ecological systems across communities, while giving support to groups and always pursuing the questions raised by a collaborative, lived practice."-- Provided by publisher Duignan, Jim 1958- (DE-588)1282329065 gnd rswk-swf Stockyard Institute (DE-588)1282338544 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1995-2021 gnd rswk-swf Kunst (DE-588)4114333-4 gnd rswk-swf Kunsterziehung (DE-588)4033637-2 gnd rswk-swf Duignan, Jim / Exhibitions Duignan, Jim Artists and community / Illinois / Chicago Art / Illinois / Chicago / Exhibitions Art and society / Illinois / Chicago Social practice (Art) / Illinois / Chicago Public art / Illinois / Chicago Outdoor art / Illinois / Chicago Mixed media (Art) Visual communication in art Relations artistes-collectivité - Illinois - Chicago Art - Illinois - Chicago - Expositions Art et société - Illinois - Chicago Art social - Illinois - Chicago Art en plein air - Illinois - Chicago Technique mixte (Art) Communication visuelle dans l'art mixed media Exhibition catalogs (DE-588)4135467-9 Ausstellungskatalog DePaul Art Museum 09.09.2021-13.02.2022 Chicago gnd-content Stockyard Institute (DE-588)1282338544 b Kunst (DE-588)4114333-4 s Kunsterziehung (DE-588)4033637-2 s Geschichte 1995-2021 z Duignan, Jim 1958- (DE-588)1282329065 p DE-604 Gray, Jennifer (DE-588)1265065012 ctb Widholm, Julie Rodrigues 1975- (DE-588)1231523204 oth ctb Harper, Rachel L.
