Zusammenfassung: | "This book examines the contemporary communicational practices of journalists and media outlets and the consumption and reception patterns of audiences in Russia's provinces with an emphasis upon the intergenerational transmission of culture and memory. Investigating the interaction and issues of contemporary identity, culture, audiences and journalism in a rapidly changing and evolving Russia, this volume goes beyond the large metropolitan centres into the regions to develop a more comprehensive overview. Despite a popular image that is often projected of Russia as a homogenous, often threatening entity, its regions are very far from being uniform, with diverse, varied geographies, ethnicities, religions, cultures, resources and economic infrastructure. The perspectives offered by a range of scholars and practitioners explore the generational, political and regional diversity that exist across this vast country and analyse local and regional media. Covering topics not often discussed, this volume offers an important contribution for everyone interested in Russian politics, culture, journalism and history and the study of local and regional communication studies"-- |

Covering topics not often discussed, this volume offers an important contribution for everyone interested in Russian politics, culture, journalism and history and the study of local and regional communication studies"-- Journalismus (DE-588)4028779-8 gnd rswk-swf Kollektives Gedächtnis (DE-588)4200793-8 gnd rswk-swf Russland (DE-588)4076899-5 gnd rswk-swf Journalism, Regional / Russia (Federation) / History / 21st century Journalism / Social aspects / Russia (Federation) / History / 21st century Local mass media / Russia (Federation) Digital media / Social aspects / Russia (Federation) Mass media and culture / Russia (Federation) Presse régionale / Russie / Histoire / 21e siècle Presse / Aspect social / Russie / Histoire / 21e siècle Médias locaux / Russie Médias numériques / Russie / Aspect social Médias et culture / Russie Digital media / Social aspects Journalism, Regional Journalism / Social aspects Local mass media Mass media and culture Russia (Federation) 2000-2099 Essay essays Essays History Essais (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Russland (DE-588)4076899-5 g Journalismus (DE-588)4028779-8 s Kollektives Gedächtnis (DE-588)4200793-8 s DE-604 Simons, Greg (DE-588)1198323736 edt Sumskaya, Anna edt Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 978-1-03-220960-9 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 978-1-03-220961-6 https://www.doi.org/10.4324/9781003266112 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext |
