| Beschreibung: | This work continues my exploration of the forces that contribute to the shaping of our subjectivity. As a composer from Latin America I do recognize the links that bind my musical vision with the developments of European western music. I also recognize, however, other sources, with equally profound roots, that contribute to ground my creative aspirations within specific historical and social coordinates. LUX seeks to illuminate some aspects of this confluence: a form of a spiritual search that, without offering certainties, helps nonetheless to orient my steps. LUX was composed for, and is dedicated with affection to Roberto Fabbriciani, who premiered it in Morelia, Mexico in July 2014 |
