To celebrate its 35th year, the festival has invited the artist Jordi Savall. Spanish musician, violist, cellist, choir director and orchestral conductor, he is known as a performer in repertoires extending from medieval to 19th century music. He is also known for his collaborations with the world of cinema. In 1991, his work with the French director Alain Corneau in Tous les matins du monde contributed to a resurgence in interest for baroque music and introducing a wider public to the viola da gamba.
