Zusammenfassung:A coterie of young Russian artists come together for a spectacular concert in a wide variety of instrumental flavors: from piano (with Grand Piano Competition winner Alexandra Dovgan) and cello to trumpet and oboe, clarinet and concertina--and special appearances by the balalaika (played by 9-year-old prodigy Anastasia Tyurina), dhol (an Indian drum), and qanun (a Middle Eastern string instrument)! Alongside Russian folk tunes and selections from lesser-known composers Khachatur Avetisyan of Armenia and Jean-Baptiste Arban of France, these stars in the making will play pieces by Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Schumann, Lutosławski, Bellini, and Saint-Saëns. For 30 years, the "New Names" Charity Foundation has supported and promoted young talents across several domains: music, painting, poetry, and dance. Thousands of promising artists have received support from the foundation, many of whom have gone onto successful and prominent careers in the arts
