Zusammenfassung:The young Russian virtuoso Daniil Trifonov performs works by Scriabin, Liszt and Chopin during a recital at the Verbier Festival in 2013. Broadcast live on medici.tv on July 28, 2013, this recital is based upon an original program which gathers three pieces composed during or in souvenir of a love story. These three works by Scriabin, Liszt and Chopin bear all indeed the mark of an important woman in the composers' life: Natalya Sekerina, the dedicatee of Scriabin's Sonata Fantasy No. 2; the Polish-Russian princess Carolyne de Sayn-Wittgenstein, with whom Liszt shared his life during the composition of his Sonata in B Minor; and the French writer George Sand, Chopin's lover whom he was with when he composed his 24 Preludes in Mallorca. To conclude his recital, Daniil Trifonov performs one of his own scores, Rachmaniana. A genuine virtuoso, Daniil Trifonov has been widely acclaimed by the press and the audience alike, and has won many international competitions, including the Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv and the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. This memorable recital took place during the 20th anniversary edition of the Verbier Festival in 2013
