Zusammenfassung:Flashback on one of the first choreography by the Ballet Preljocaj, now counting among the most influent of today's French dancing world. Born in the Parisian area, Angelin Preljocaj received his training in Paris and New York before becoming a professional dancer in French troops in Caen, Anger and Montpellier. He debuted as a choreographer in Montpellier in 1984 and received a special award from the French Ministère de la Culture the same year for his creation Marché Noir. Thanks to his choreographies mixing the neo-classic technique with and abstract and sensual language, his companies is invited to perform at the Opéra Garnier in 1993. Some of his choreographies are later included to the repertoire of the Opéra National de Paris. In 1996, his company became the Ballet Preljocaj. This documentary dates back to this period when Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet was created for the Centre Chorégraphique National d'Aix en Provence by the troop. Back then, Preljocaj already defined his work in terms of energies, movements, bodies and how they define a particular space
