Zusammenfassung: | This collection focuses on difficult memories and diverse identities related to conflicts and localized politics of memories. The contemporary and history-oriented case studies discuss politicized memories and pasts, the frictions of justice and reconciliation, and the diversity and fragmentation of difficult memories. The collection brings together methodological discussions from oral history research, cultural memory studies and the study of contemporary protest movements. The politicization of memories is analyzed in various contexts, ranging from everyday interaction and diverse cultural representations to politics of the archive and politics as legal processes. The politicization of memories takes place on multiple analytical levels: those inherent to the sources; the ways in which the collections are utilized, archived, or presented; and in the re-evaluation of existing research. |

The politicization of memories takes place on multiple analytical levels: those inherent to the sources; the ways in which the collections are utilized, archived, or presented; and in the re-evaluation of existing research.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="648" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Geschichte 1945-</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Kollektives Gedächtnis</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4200793-8</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Politisierung</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4046590-1</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Konflikt</subfield><subfield code="g">Motiv</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4354648-1</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Baltikum</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4004379-4</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="655" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4143413-4</subfield><subfield code="a">Aufsatzsammlung</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd-content</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Baltikum</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4004379-4</subfield><subfield code="D">g</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Kollektives Gedächtnis</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4200793-8</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Konflikt</subfield><subfield code="g">Motiv</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4354648-1</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="3"><subfield code="a">Politisierung</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4046590-1</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Geschichte 1945-</subfield><subfield code="A">z</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="5">DE-604</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="1" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Kollektives Gedächtnis</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4200793-8</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="1" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Konflikt</subfield><subfield code="g">Motiv</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4354648-1</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="1" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Politisierung</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4046590-1</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="1" ind2="3"><subfield code="a">Geschichte 1945-</subfield><subfield code="A">z</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="5">DE-604</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Salmi-Niklander, Kirsti</subfield><subfield code="d">1957-</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)1176710346</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Laine, Sofia</subfield><subfield code="d">ca. 20./21. spelling | Friction, fragmentation, and diversity localized politics of European memories edited by Kirsti Salmi-Niklander, Sofia Laine, Päivi Salmesvuori, Ulla Savolainen, and Riikka Taavetti Amsterdam Amsterdam University Press [2022] © 2022 259 Seiten Illustrationen txt rdacontent n rdamedia nc rdacarrier Heritage and memory studies 15 This collection focuses on difficult memories and diverse identities related to conflicts and localized politics of memories.
