Zusammenfassung: | Migration in the 21st century is one of the pre-eminent issues of our present historical moment, a phenomenon that has acquired new urgency with accelerating climate change, civil wars, and growing economic scarcities. Refugees and Migrants in Film, Art and Media consists of eleven essays that explore how artists have imaginatively engaged with this monumental human drama, examining a range of alternative modes of representation that provide striking new takes on the experiences of these precarious populations. Covering prominent art works by Ai Weiwei and Richard Mosse, and extending the spectrum of representation to refugee film workshops on the island of Lesvos as well as virtual reality installations of Alejandro G. Iñárritu and others, the chapters included here focus on the power of aesthetic engagement to illuminate the stories of refugees and migrants in ways that overturn journalistic clichés |

Iñárritu and others, the chapters included here focus on the power of aesthetic engagement to illuminate the stories of refugees and migrants in ways that overturn journalistic clichés Geschichte2000- gnd rswk-swf Art and Material Culture Cultural Studies Film, Media, and Communication Media Studies Media studies Migration, immigration and emigration Virtual reality PERFORMING ARTS / Film & Video / General bisacsh Immigrants in art Immigrants in motion pictures Refugees in art Refugees in motion pictures Medien (DE-588)4169187-8 gnd rswk-swf Film (DE-588)4017102-4 gnd rswk-swf Asylbewerber Motiv (DE-588)7751588-2 gnd rswk-swf Kunst (DE-588)4114333-4 gnd rswk-swf Flüchtling Motiv (DE-588)4522722-6 gnd rswk-swf (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift 07.05.2019-11.05.2019 Istanbul gnd-content Flüchtling Motiv (DE-588)4522722-6 s Asylbewerber Motiv (DE-588)7751588-2 s Film (DE-588)4017102-4 s Kunst (DE-588)4114333-4 s Medien (DE-588)4169187-8 s Geschichte2000- z DE-604 Bayrakdar, Deniz (DE-588)1113901276 edt Burgoyne, Robert 1949- (DE-588)134131649 edt Kadir Has Üniversitesi (DE-588)16012034-2 his Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe 978-90-485-5458-4 Media, culture and communication in migrant societies 2 (DE-604)BV047166862 2 Digitalisierung UB Regensburg - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=033283931&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis |
