During the earthquake of 2017 an important part of the artist's work was lost when the the enclosure where it was sheltered. Therefore, the images in this publication are now unique witnesses, survivors of the tragedy. The text of the art historian and editor of this monograph, Luis Martín Lozano, is joined by the voices of the writer Marina Azahua and the art critic Carlos Palacios, to approach the work of Velázquez from a multiple and interdisciplinary vision.
