Summary:This tutorial is the second in a series of three tutorials covering introductory, intermediate and advanced topics in cloud computing. The intent of this course is to build upon basic concepts in cloud computing and conduct a deeper exploration of cloud computing and its principles and practices. The course will focus on the architecture, dynamics, applications, benefits and issues of concern for the three service models. This course is substantially based on a publication prepared by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (or NIST): Draft Cloud Computing Synopsis and Recommendations, NIST SP 800-146, (Badger et al., 2012). Additional material is also excerpted, with permission, from the two IEEE draft standards: IEEE P2301, Guide for Cloud Portability and Interoperability Profiles and IEEE P2302, Draft Standard for Intercloud Interoperability and Federation
