| Zusammenfassung: | Die Studie untersucht die Bedeutung kollegialer Gruppen für den Pfarrberuf. Dabei wird erstmals die in der pastoraltheologischen Forschung vorherrschende Fokussierung auf einzelne Pfarrer und ihre individuelle Praxis überwunden. Vor dem Hintergrund professionstheoretischer Ansätze untersucht die Autorin die gemeinsame Praxis von Pfarrerinnen und Pfarrern in Pfarrkonferenzen und selbstorganisierten Treffen mithilfe einer empirisch-qualitativen Erhebung. Kollegiale Gruppen dienen der gegenseitigen Vergewisserung, der Sicherung professionellen Handelns und der Wahrung der Autonomie einzelner Pfarrer sowie der gesamten Berufsgruppe. Die Arbeit in diesen Gruppen wird erstmalig als ein eigenständiger Tätigkeitsbereich pastoralen Handelns beschrieben und gewürdigt. Davon ausgehend entwickelt die Autorin die pastoraltheologische These, dass dem Pfarrberuf eine kollektive Dimension innewohnt, und eröffnet eine neue Perspektive für die Reflexion der gemeinsamen Arbeit innerhalb der Berufsgruppe.
